I want to know...

why Nollywood and Ghanawood ( i refuse to use gollywood) prefers light skinned men and doesn't really care the colour of the women as long as they are fine (which is as it should be) . I mean shouldn't we be equal opportunity shades of skin hirers? i feel like the men are getting yellower and yellower.

Quite the opposite of hollywood- they love them some light skinned negresses ( i can use that word, i'm black)

LOL..Not observed that myself.. Maybe the male roles being cast are increasingly more been-to and some light skinned dude fits the role more?

To be honest it was like that with the women too until jenny came through. I think it is indicative of the 'light is right' syndrome that a lot of black people suffer from. Whilst I do not mind Ramsey N, I cannot stand VV, dude cannot act and he lacks charisma. He might be handsome but he is just not sexy, I'll take Jim Iyke over him any day. Jim looks like needs no instructions, if you know what I mean.

On the subject of Nollywood and Ghanawood (or Gollywood or Ghallywood as someone told it is called) I think the whole thing oughta be Nollywood, I am not being nationalist when I say this. The Ghanaian actors bring nothing different to the table and it is just a branch of Nollywood in another country....

i've always thought both light- and dark-skinned actors were equally used..dunno sha..

i may be wrong sha but the last 3 films i saw the light skinned men were the hot / good guys sha. the one black guy i saw in all 3 was always doing something shady.
